Neil is the most recent addition to the Aphrodite family, joining us in October 2010. At only 26 years old, he already has an excellent music CV, impressing audiences with numerous bands on the circuit and recently working as a resident drummer in a theatre. He has toured the UK and Europe extensively, supporting the likes of Snow Patrol and Sandi Thom, has performed at Glastonbury and has written and recorded with some excellent original bands, taking one of them to America to record with some of Elvis Presley's former sidemen at Sun Studios, Memphis.
A lively and engaging drummer, Neil is also extremely proficient on guitar and bass (having the audacity, as a 15-year-old, to get to the finals of 'Guitarist' magazine's 'Young Guitarist Of The Year' awards!). He has played all three instruments in previous bands (sadly not all at the same time!), and also currently teaches them when he is not on the road with Aphrodite.
Neil has an infectious enthusiasm for music, and for life generally! This really comes across to our audiences, and Aphrodite have certainly benefited from the new energy he has brought to the band.
